Adobe launched a a new iOS app today, named CreatePDF, which allows PDF conversion in iOS. This means that you can create PDF documents from your iPhone, iPod and iPad. According to Adobe, “CreatePDF brings the same high-quality PDF creation as Adobe Acrobat” to iOS devices, with PDF documents that look “exactly” like the original files they were generated from.

The CreatePDF application is available in iTunes store now. The app uses Adobe’s online services for performance and quality, creating PDFs that preserve quality and accessibility standards with the inclusion of links, images, footnotes, and more. CreatePDF supports various file formats such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, RTF, Text, WordPerfect, OpenOffice and StarOffice documents. The app is compatible with various image types like JPEG, BMP, PNG, GIF and TIFF.

CreatePDF creates PDFs which look exactly like the original using the same technology as Adobe Acrobat and there is consistent high-fidelity PDF conversion irrespective of device or software. It uses Adobe’s online services to ensure there is no compromise on quality or performance. Best part of the service is that it does not keep a copy of your original or the PDF document. It also converts email attachments or files stored in the cloud or any other application by opening them within the Adobe CreatePDF application.
