Facebook Launched Post Scheduling for Page Admins

Posted by Prashant on May 31, 2012 in Facebook

Facebook Page Admins can now schedule posts using the Facebook’s inbuilt scheduling functionality. Though there are other external scheduling tools like HootSuite, Buffer etc which allows users to schedule the posts in future, but having the same feature right inside the Facebook, makes it a little bit more easier.

To schedule the post in futureĀ  – once you are done drafting the post, click the small clock icon on the bottom left corner of the new post box. Select a future date/time and the ‘Post’ button will automatically change to ‘Schedule’.

Now once you have finalized the content and the posting time, you can click ‘ Schedule’ and post will be published at that selected time. If you want to view the scheduled post, you can view Activity Log. Go to Admin Panel > Manage > Use Activity Log.

Here you will be able to change the posting time and can cancel the post but currently there isn’t any option to change the content of the post once it’s scheduled.

Currently, Facebook allows users to schedule posts 6 months in advance with an interval of 15 minutes. Also if you schedule the past date for the post, it will be posted immediately at the appropriate place on Page Timeline.

Since this feature is currently in process of being rolling out , you may not see the scheduled posts in Activity log but it will appear in near future.
