Google recently released Calendar app for Android phones which makes it easier for you to manage all your calendars in one place, including your Google accounts. Google Calendar has some really nice features which besides creating, editing and deleting events, allows you to send predefined messages, pinch to zoom in and out of a day and enables you to review events from up to one year ago.
Another great feature that is added to Google Calendar app is its integration with Facebook events. You can directly sync your Facebook Events with your Google Calendar using your Google Calendar app.
Earlier to sync Facebook events with Google calendar, users need to export the Facebook events and then import them in Google Calendar. In that case, any updates in Facebook events weren’t reflected in Google Calendar.
How To Sync Facebook events with Google Calendar using Google Calendar app
- To sync your Facebook events using Google Calendar app, firstly go ahead and install Google Calendar app from Google Play.
- Now Open the Google Calendar app and go to Settings. Tap ‘Add Account‘ on top right corner and then choose ‘Facebook’ under Social Hub Accounts.
Once you choose option for synching a Facebook account then you will be asked to enter the details of the account. After successful login, go back to calendar page and you will be able to see your Facebook Events. You can also try refreshing your Google Calendar app incase your Facebook events doesn’t appear in Google Calendar app.
I noticed one thing that though Facebook Birthdays are shown in your Facebook events but they won’t appear in your Google Calendar. Events other than Facebook Friend’s birthdays will start appearing in your Google Calendar app.
