Google Plus Tips: Google+ widgets for your website/blog

Google Plus is soon going to release Read API’s for the developer community which will help developer to make more Google Plus apps. As of now there are few Google+ widgets which website owners can add to their blogs to show their Google+ profile and allow the visitors to add them to their circles. Below are few widgets which will definitely increase your follower count on Google+.

Widget Plus can be added to you blog or website by simply grabbing the code from Widget Plus Website. To get a customized widget for your profile you will have to provide your Google id and then change the look of widget to match with theme of your website. This widget is highly customizable and user can also add live updates from their Google Plus profiles. Like all other widgets , widget plus will show only the public posts.

Once you are done with your customization, click on “Get Code” and copy the code and paste on your website. For WordPress blog, you can add a new text widget and paste the code copied from widget plus website.

Google Plus WidgetWebsite and blogs running on WordPress can also use Google Plus Widget Plugin which can be easily installed from plugin section. The Google Plus Widget plugin adds a Google Plus profile widget to your WordPress site along with the option to include the Google +1 button. The plugin links to you Google+ profile and shows the number of followers in your circle as well as allowing users to add you to their Google+ circle. It will also display a custom plugin title and your Google profile picture. You can directly download this plugin from WordPress.

GoogleCards is a google+ wordpress plugin. It adds a widget to your blog that will display a link to your google+ profile so people can addyou to a circle (follow you). It also displays your name, profile picture and the number of people who have you in circles. Similar to Google Plus Widget, Google Cards needs to be installed on your WordPress blog. Download this plugin from WordPress.

Google Plus Feed Widget will convert your public posts on Google+ to a feed which can then be showed on your blog using the code provided or you can also add the feed URL to any RSS feed reader like Google Reader. You can create and grab the code for this G+ Plus feed from here.
