Google Plus Tips : How to Format Fonts in Google Plus

Posted by Mayank on August 29, 2011 in Google,Google+

Google Plus allows you to add pictures, videos, links and location in shares, however, it does not give you option to format fonts. Formatting fonts gives a rich text feel to your shares and can help sections of your post stand out. It is very easy to add bold, italic, strike through and combination of those in your Google Plus post.

Using Bold font in Google Plus

Use the asterisk (*) symbol before and after the text you’d like to make bold.

Example: *This is example of bold font*

Using Italic Font in Google Plus

Use the underline (_)_ symbol before and after the text you’d like to make italic.

Example: _This is example of italic font_

Using Strike Through Font in Google Plus

Use the hyphen (-) symbol before and after the text you’d like to make strike through.

Example: -This is example of strike through font-

I used these examples and shared a post – here is the screenshot of the same.

Also, when you use the above symbols together, you get the combined effect. For example, when you want to have bold and italic font, you can use begin and end text with *_ and the result will be there to see.
