How to Reset Mac Dock to Original Settings

There are plenty of things you can do with your Dock, namely:

When you do these options – you’re essentially personalizing Dock settings and deviating from factory default. If you end up doing too much and realize that you’ve overdone and want to return back to original factory settings – you’ll be surprised that there isn’t a button (common in PC) that says – restore to original or restore to factory default.

Though there is a way to restore Dock settings to original:

delete the files com.apple.dock.plist and com.apple.dock.db from homedirectory/Library/Preferences and restart Dock.

To restart Dock enter the following command in terminal:
*killall Dock*
