You can use Siri, your ‘Virtual Assistant for iPhone4S’ to update your status on Twitter. Though Updating Twitter Status is not an inbuilt functionality of Siri but there is small hack which allows iPhone4S users to command Siri to tweet for them. Twitter is integrated with iOS5 but still Siri doesn’t have access to it. Below are the settings to configure Siri to update Status update on Twitter.
Step1: Configuring Mobile on Twitter
Log into your Twitter Account and go to Settings > Mobile. You would need to enter your Mobile number here and click ‘Start’.
Step2: Verifying your Phone no.
On the next screen, Twitter will ask you to send a message ‘GO’ to a particular no. and will wait to receive confirmation from that mobile number. Now you pick up your cell phone and send ‘GO’ as a message to this number. Once the message is received by Twitter, your mobile number will be confirmed.
You can also update the notifications that you would like to receive on your mobile phone as shown above.
Step3: Save the Phone number
Now go ahead and save the contact no.(To which message was sent) in your Cellphone as ‘Twitter’.
Step4: Send a test update to Twitter using Siri
Now whenever you want to update your Twitter Status, Command Siri. for e.g. “Send Message to Twitter I love my iPhone 4S”. When asked confirm Siri to send the message. Wait for few seconds and then check your Twitter status. You message will be visible on your Twitter Timeline.
Note: Standard Text Messaging rates apply.
