Mac Tips: How to record slideshow in Keynote

Consider you are going to present a business meeting or going to your college seminar , may be going for a sales meeting. Wherever you go, in majority of meetings you will be shown a slideshow presentations to make the idea behind the meeting more appealing and help others understand it. If you happen to create you presentation using iWork’s Keynote application, then you would have an additional advantage. You can record your slideshow as it goes on, may be for training purpose or showing it to others who are offline or not attending the meeting.

Below are 4 simple steps using which you can record your slideshow and utilize the features of Keynote.

How to record slideshow in Keynote?

Step1 : Create a presentation

Open your Keynote application and choose a them to start making your presentation.

Step2: Record your slideshow

  • Finish your Slideshow and then go to start page of your slideshow.
  • Click on File > Record Slideshow
  • Now start presenting and everything will be recorded. Voice will be recorded as well.
  • Once you’re done recording, press ‘esc’ to come out of recording mode.

Step3: Finalize the recording

  • Go to Play > Play Slideshow to view the recording.
  • If you want to re-record your slideshow go to Step2.

Step4: Export the recording

  • Go to File > Export
  • On the Quick time tab, click next and save your recorded slideshow.
  • You’re done. Enjoy your slideshow
