For a lot of you, iPhone or iPad is close to your heart and you do not want anything wrong to happen with your iPhone or iPad. You might have heard about the term jailbreak. Well, jailbreak means exactly what you’re probably thinking it means.
Jailbreaking an iOS device means unlocks parts of your iPhone, iPod or iPad that Apple has locked down with its software which in turn allows you to customize your phone and install applications that you can’t find through the official iOS App Store.
For a lot of you, this will be a dream come true — as it means making your iPad, iPhone and iPod truly personal. A few who dare todo a lot more than desired — end up wishing that they didn’t jailbreak.
Let me make it very clear – Jailbreaking is perfectly legal
Apple’s request to define copyright law to include jailbreaking as a violation was denied as part of the 2009 DMCA rulemaking. In their ruling, the Library of Congress affirmed on July 26, 2010 that jailbreaking is exempt from DMCA rules with respect to circumventing digital locks. This exemption must be reviewed and renewed every three years or else it will expire.
