Google today announced on its Gmail blog that team is able to fix these issues and now the app is finally available for download.

Gmail Team posted that many users requested to have multiple account support and other customization like improving notifications and including mobile specific email signature. Though these features are still missing in this version of app but Gmail Team is going to include these and many other new features into the app later.
